Keystone Toys
The Keystone Manufacturing Company of Boston, Mass started production of Keystone Pressed Steel Toys in 1924. Keystone’s first trucks were patterned after the popular full size Packard Truck and had approval from the Packard Motor Company to do so. They were appropriately labeled as such with a Packard decal on the radiator. Keystone produced many great toy trucks, airplanes, trains and construction toys over the years. Keystone is known for using for using a wide color pallete and producing toys that functioned by dispensing water, hydraulicly lifting a dump bed, etc. In 1932 Keystone introduced the "Ride-Em" series of toys. Keystone phased out the "Packard" style trucks in 1937. The new cabs were more streamlined like modern vehicles and had a separate plated grill. Some of the new models even had battery operated electric headlights.
